A warm day, temps hovered around the freezing point. Light SW winds near and below TL. Above TL speeds ramped up scouring S-W aspects.
Snowpack
The snowpack is structured like an inverted Oreo cookie, with a mid pack 1f slab above multiple faceted layers. Above, new snow is settling quickly making the storm snow interfaces more prominent. Near and below TL HS=150ish. Snow surface up to TL was becoming moist on solar aspects. Winds picked up and temp dropped to -2C by 2pm and a thin crust formed. Surface hoar in all open areas except abv TL.
