Weather

Warming up quickly. Mostly sunny skies with some high thin clouds.

Snowpack

Snow cover in the canyon is patchy right now, with sunny slopes melting off or bare, and shadier N and E facing slopes are holding 12-18" of snow. Melt-freeze conditions are prevalent on all aspects. Snow was already getting wet in sunny areas, and there were a few D1 loose wet slides. Powerhouse was holding about 18" of snow. A lot of vegetation and rocks are starting to poke through, and there were some small bare patches around trees and rocky areas.

Avalanche

There were several small D1 loose wet slides in the canyon and a couple on the hillside behind the tunnel breakroom. Activity was focused on north aspects today.
