Snowpack
HS ranged from 80cm's-180cm's. Below treeline the snowpack was weak in protected areas, but open slopes acted more like near and above treeline. with dummy slabs in isolated areas. In the terrain traveled today near and above treeline ,when probing with a ski pole, you could feel cohesive slabs of snow over weaker snow in the upper and bottom of the snowpack. The surface snow was moist in areas affected by the sun.
