Surprisingly pleasant in the sun. Wind died down in the morning. Cold temperatures and blue skies.

The Persistent Slab problem is just as reactive on S-W aspects as it is elsewhere. These slopes haven't had any slab all season. Easy propagation in snowpack tests. Breaking at the top of faceted early season snowpack (down around 40cm), under a stout suncrust in some places.
