Weather

Rapid Warm-up and strong sun for this time of winter. Hi near 40°F @ 11k. Mostly calm w/ occasional light N breeze. No wind transport observed.

Snowpack

As typical for the Ironton Park area, the snowpack is shallower and weaker than at the top of Red Mtn Pass

Avalanche

Significant recent avalanche activity noted in other observations. Most notable is the sensitivity and propagation (remote triggering) on recently loaded SE-SW sunny slopes... indicative of reactive Persistent Slabs. Though not as widespread as other cycles (such as Jan 17th), surprising avalanches continue to be triggered well after the initial storm/loading event.
