clear, bluebird, sunny at ashcroft- surface hoar formed overnight- breezy, clouds moved in by noon blowsnow streamers off high peaks on taylor divide, castle peak ridge

Snowpack

4-5 " new storm snow with surface hoar in most locations from ashcroft up soth facing has breakable burried sun crust , north facing shin to knee deep soft from previous sotrms. old avy debris in most runnouts across castle ck road- several to full extent including old trees at edge of runnout- highest form north including sizable old grotwth blown over by air blast. all covered by 4-5" new snow

Avalanche

no significant new avalanches- minor storm/wind soft slab and sluffs off steep shoulder of malumute peak near montezuma basin drainage - see photo skiing mid 30s+ in steep trees only yielded minimal sluffs
