Snowpack

Mainly shallow. Did not bother digging a pit as we kept on mellow terrain. Where the pack was deeper there was plenty of evidence of instablity. My 13 year old set off small collapses and shooting cracks at a litte roll over. Talked to people who had triggered slides yesterday on the steeper terrain.

Avalanche

Large release on Russell Peak. 12,200 ft East facing aspect. Observed crown wall from across the pass.
