Snowpack

The snowpack was mostly faceted snow. Minor surface hoar existed. When skied alpine style, the snowpack supported the skier. However, when telemark turns were attempted, the skier broke through the 1F layers and down to the depth hoar. Whumpfing and shooting cracks were experienced at the bottom of this slope near several trees where the slope was low angle ( ~10 degrees).
