Weather
Overcast with light NW winds. Temperature 12F.
Snowpack
Snow profile on similar slope. CT results easy SP between 20cm thick surface slab(1F, 0.5mm,wind-broken precip particles) and 5cm layer of faceting decomposed particles(P,0.5mm). ECTP 3 on same layer. Also notable depth hoar size 3-6mm at ground (F) was nonreactive in tests. Looking at 12/27 avalanche crown, surface slab was ~60cm thick, quickly becoming thinner down-slope.
Avalanche
Evidence of older slide down ridge from 12/27 slide location. Similar aspect and elevation.
