Sun, 25 F, calm to light winds from West.

Snowpack

West aspects ATL heavily and wind scoured. 2-4 cm wind and sun slab over shallow facets 10-40cm. Localized collapsing from 5-15m radius while climbing. Some rumbling collapses. Large cornice formation on E side of ridge. Evidence of previous naturals (1-3 days prior) below cornice on steep E/SE facing slopes. In protected and shaded areas still facing S at TL, snow deeper 1m+, new snow from thurs-mon storm cycle over unsupportable old snow. pole penetration to ground, boot pen up to knees and waist.

Avalanche

1) E side of 'burn' ridge on Uneva Approach, 11,800. remote skier triggered by this party from apprx 80 meters away. 2) south bowl directly below Uneva 12,000. Natural, occurred during the time we left trailhead and returned.
