Weather

Cold, snowing light to moderate all day and strong wind gusts from the N/NW moving snow around. Swirling at valley floor level

Snowpack

16" Hst observed. Heavy , dense and slabbing up , even in sheltered and treed terrain.

Avalanche

Storm snow was showing easy reactivity to ski cuts on steep test slopes on small terrain features. Running easily on old faceted snowpack structure but propagation minimal. Major wind loading happening on all exposed slopes below and above tree line.
