Snowpack
Dug a pit ~10,800 ft, E aspect near TL. Pit location was near another recent pit and close to a location I've seen B Lazar dig up there before. Pit was laborious to dig due to hardness of snow (P hard). We dug down more than 6-7 feet (quite the wind deposit) and still didn't quite hit the lower depth hoar. difficult to find weak layers just feeling in pit wall with hand due to hardness but found them by sliding a credit card. Isolated a column and performed CT. Nothing first 20 taps, then hit it as hard as I could from shoulder. CT27 with Q1 sheer 40cm down. See pic. then wailed on the column again and failed at 6 more from-the-shoulder hits at 65cm down, again Q1. Both failures on facets.
