Snowpack
Saturday night's thin windslab had been buried by last night's snow and had a little more piled on with moderate winds overnight. This slab was quite reactive on Sunday, but did not respond to tests today. Some localized cracking around our skis was observed on this layer, but no propagation. There was evidence of further windloading since Sunday afternoon, but it was localized to near ridgeline areas and was 4F drifts, that were not reactive to ski cuts. No signs of instability were observed. Despite the buried surface hoar, thin wind slab and basal facets, snowpack tests were unremarkable, SST on upper weak layers, no results. ECTX.
