Snowpack
South facing slope below TL. Two inches of new snow has fallen on a previous brittle sun/ temperature crust. There is good bonding and cohesion of the snow below this layer that was put down in the last storm cycle around Christmas. HS was ranged from 70 - 90cm across the pit wall, with a reactive layer (1cm of facets) 50cm down. Compression test scores ranged from moderate to Hard with consistent sudden collapses on the weak layer. Other simple hand shear and shovel tilt tests showed good bonding in the newer snow layers.
