Weather

The temperatures were cooler than expected up at Lemon which made it a nice day to snowshoe and hike on packed snow. It was sunny with a slight breeze. We hiked on a packed road to the Florida River and then crossed through Florida Campground. We hiked up about a 10-20% incline. Elevation 8,500 feet. Westerly facing slope.

Snowpack

Road was completely packed and we didn't put our shoes on for over a mile. We could have hiked the entire way in just hiking boots, but there was just a couple of inches of fresh snow to shoe through.

Avalanche

None.
