Snowpack

Cassi Peak, NE bowl: Shallow snowpack; highly wind effected. Above treeline, we observed about 5 crowns from avalanches below lee terrain features that failed near the ground. HS-N-R1-D1.5 to 2-O. A hasty crown profile showed about 10cm of fist hard, 3 - 4mm depth hoar below a pencil hard windslab, ranging in depth from ~ 15 cm to 60 cm. CT13, Q1 where the slab was about 25cm. These failed sometime in the past week since the most recent snowfall. Precarious Peak, SW couloir: Crossloaded from recent NW winds. 10 - 15 cm hardslab over 2 cm facets over meltfreeze crust. ECTPV, Q1 @ facets.
