Snowpack

Warm temperatures early this week really settled the snowpack. Sun-exposed aspects significantly warmed and baked down. The snowpack on these aspects is quite thin and largely made up of basal crusts with new snow on top. New snow was relatively warm on these slopes as well. Shady slopes below treeline are mostly faceted throughout with little slab. Skier triggered loose slides remain possible to probable on steep slopes in these areas. Moderate to strong winds have formed soft and hard slab near and above treeline. These slabs overly a variety of older windslabs and facets, particularly on north and east facing terrain.
