Snowpack

Above treeline, wind slabs found in areas of cross loading (ribs and sub-ridges) and lee loading (lee aspects at major ridgelines). Whumphing was observed in smaller cross-loaded features where stiffer slabs were present. Near and below treeline, shaded aspects lacked cohesion throughout the snowpack depth.
