Clear and calm. High winds were blowing snow from western faces into eastern faces and were easily observable from a long distance. Conditions were clear, warm, and with light winds at our position.
Avalanche
We saw two avalanches on Stormy Peak from our location on the top of Horsetooth mountain. Both appeared to begin near the summit and produced large snow clouds that were easily visible. Timing was approximately 2 pm. The northeaster mountain faces were all in shadow. The slides were separated by approximately 15 minutes. It was unclear exactly where the slides began, but both occurred on the northeastern face
