Weather

Weather: Mostly cloudy with high clouds but low clouds moved in at end of tour. Low clouds chilled the air a little bit on the ridge. Winds less than 10 kph without snow transport anywhere.

Snowpack

Snow: Variable with 1 inch sun crusts developing on lower half of slopes in open areas. Upper half of slopes had wind buff and loose winter snow in the trees. Snow depths ranged from 2 inches (5cm) to 6 inches (12.5 cm) on top of dust Sundays dust event. Stability; Saw 3 to 4 LS avalanches on Scarp Ridge and Schuylkill Mountain emanating from rock outcrops below or at ridgelines. Slides went no more than 25% of full runouts.
