Snowpack
snow was at least 120 cm deep above the creek area at willow falls, with many overhanging tree bombs on the cliffs above the trail,. Some of these were the size of a small car, and some even larger creep om the shelves between vertical rock sections of the west wall above 10500. In the trees I observed a speckling of ice lenses forming around pine cones buried in the snow pack, and an easily discernible ice crust had formed on along the belly of the chute and skiers right. I did not hear whoomping, see cracks of any kind, or observe any recent activity anywhere in the S Willow watershed, or on the S/W/E aspects of Red. Upon descending sluffs of corn snow running a dozen feet, and small rollers did not entrain additional snow

Old windslabs towards the base of Silver, but even the large chutes on N Buffalo did not have much snow.
