WEATHER: Spring is definitely here ! Convective shower activity, heavy at times (S5) interspersed with periods of blue sky. Winds Moderate and steady throughout day from the N; temps in mid-20's

Snowpack

SNOWPACK/AVALANCHE OBS : Around 4" of new snow by 1400. Moderate down valley winds transporting snow and building shallow windslabs in open areas near and below treeline. New snow falling on mostly soft sun/temperature crusts (that had a poor re-freeze due to warm and insulating new snow) on all slopes except those due North or in dark dark timber. No instabilities noted today.
