Weather

Clear skies with strong solar. Increasing temps reaching a high of 45 at 10,200'; and 33 at 12,000'. Light SW winds through the day with max gust of 32 at 9am.

Snowpack

Firm melt freeze in am becoming moist/wet on all aspects and elevations. As snow surface warmed roller balls/pinwheels observed in recent HST layer on steep terrain features. Steep West facing slope had significant wet loose slides with the new snow (3”) being wet and running on the still frozen old crust. Below the old crust was dry 3-4mm facets. Natural wet loose, pinwheels and roller balls on all E-S-W slopes in the afternoon.
