Weather
Recent snow in the past 3 days and significant wind loading from S-SW wind in past 24hrs. Moderate blowing snow observed throughout the day at ridge tops. Snow level was above 10,500ft. Lower elev either fell as rain or melted off. Low fog near Silverton in the AM w/ few clouds north of town. Becoming overcast by afternoon.
Snowpack
Poor bond evident at new/old snow interface. Recent snow mostly uncohesive, except where fresh Wind Slabs formed above treeline. Slopes w/ enough snow to pose avalanche hazard are mostly E-N-W near and above TL. Some due N slopes are holding snow down to 10,500ft
Avalanche
Many point releases in the recent storm snow. There may have been a couple smaller (D1.5) Wind Slabs originating above treeline from ridges. Last activity in old snow was 4/30.
