Cold and clear all day, winds increased in PM

Snowpack

Highly variable above treeline. Near and below treeline, most sunny aspects had very shallow HS. Shady slopes near and below treeline had most consistent deeper snowpack

Avalanche

We observed an R2-D1.5 avalanche on a north facing slope above treeline, below a major ridgeline. From afar, the crown looked to be less than 30cm deep. Appeared to be fresh.
