Weather

Clear and warm. West wind at ridgetop 10-20mph. No snow transport where we were at and no snow transport visible in Gore or 10 mile range

Snowpack

North and northwest upper start zones stripped. Northeast more sastrugi than wind slab. Below treeline coverage is getting better with HS at 60-70cms. Still no slab. Snowpack below treeline consists of about 30cms of FC from ground up and about 30cms of PP/DF on top that is now faceting. Structure is poor but I think we will need another 2ft of snow before we have a problem below treeline.

Avalanche

Looked into steep easterly terrain and there was no evidence of old avalanches.
