started sunny got partly cloudy and windy

Skiied C & M today. As of 2:00pm S and E aspect above treeline started to warm and soften but not much. N facing was soft dry powder. Saw the aftermath of a large E facing (natural?) cornice failure above a 40ish degree slope. No signs of instability under where the cornice fell or anywhere else.
