Feather

Went up to Feather yesterday. Snow was hard and wind affected with a breakable crust that made for challenging skiing in some areas. We observed some whumpfing on a wind-loaded area, and there were lots of hollow sounds beneath our poles as well. The sastrugi was pretty intense. It looks like debris on the slopes, but it's actually just huge wind-packed snow waves. We also observed an (older, probably) size one avalanches on a south-facing sunny slope. Skiing was not great, but it was good to get out and the views were awesome.
