Weather

A downright balmy day compared to the last few. Broken clouds and calm winds below TL.

Snowpack

Approaching a meter of snow in many locations on northerly aspects below TL. On the southerly aspects on ascent, there was 5-10cm of new snow-it all blew away during last storm. In the two holes I dug, there was 30-35cm of new snow that was sitting on top of old, faceted junk. There were no clean interfaces seen and in both pits the column failed in Depth Hoar. There is a slab forming and it would support skier weight in most places. This is the first of this we have seen this season
