Spring conditions.

An overcast warm day at the pass. Visibility was in and out through the day. Our coldest temp was -1c at 1850m. We travelled up to the notch and then up towards Taiya. In the alpine, on north facing lee features 20cm of moist snow sits on an old crust. The new snow has slab properties. We also saw evidence of recent natural wet loose avalanches on north facing slopes. Tree line was isothermal and made for sporty travel.
