We headed down the tracks at Log Cabin and found some nice sled turns in the sheltered meadows. We avoided overhead large loaded slopes and stayed close to the flats. Visibility was horrible, but no new avalanches observed at log cabin. The winds have shifted and are gusting strong from the North, Brr. We dug a pit at 1000 meters on a NE aspect with a total of 160 cm. We got no results on Extended Column Test 's, but a Deep Tap test showed us Sudden Planar results on our Persistent Weak Layer that is buried 95 cm. Even though reactivity on that nasty Dec 07 crust is stubborn, it is still on our minds as we navigate terrain.
