Thick fog at Morfee left us riding by feel as much as sight. We saw rime growing rapidly, even our sleds got covered in the time it took us to dig a profile. In the profile we found the Dec 1st weak layer in the mid pack, like the rest of the region. We poked into the alpine and in the whiteout we saw that the moderate southerly winds couldn't move the heavily rimmed snow. With the low visibility and lurking weak layer we decided to ride in simple terrain around the cabin.

Dec 1st surface hoar was down 23cm and producing CTM and ECTN results Dec 9 surface hoar is down only 10cm so it's not a problem yet but we'll be mindful of it if it snows
