Tried to ski Dolomite shoulder and found terrible conditions. Hard and breakable crust overlaying unsupportive snow. Dug a pit to check out the snowpack and found only 60-65cm of snow total before rock. Column failed in CT 13 on the basal facets. The SE face of the shoulder looks to have slid in the last few days. Skiing down was terrible, but got a bit better when the snow softened slightly in the lower trees.
