Depencier Lk @ 13:15 on Tuesday Elevation: 1040 m Aspect: North Temp: -6 Winds mod gusting strong from NE. Actively transporting surface snow, even in the trees. Ski penetration = 2" Boot Penetration = >2'!! Surface snow was a mix of small crystals & 1-2 mm grauple. Crust layer approximately 5-6" down was 1.5-2" thick. Ski cutting small convex rolls produced nothing more than minor surface sluffing.
