Beauty day, and great riding conditions, but very touchy persistent slab developing. We skied one run in low-angle, supported terrain, then went for a nice walk before returning to the sleds. See other tabs for more detailed observations.

On an East aspect at TL, 35cm of low density storm snow (F to F+) overlies a thin layer of Fc and SH above a 2cm thick MFcr. There are ~20cm of 4F Fc below the crust. Below this, a 1F-P mid-pack. HS is up to 190cm at TL in the Kimberley area. Test results: Extended column test, failed while isolating the column (ECTV) down 35cm. Compression test, moderate range (CTM 11), sudden planar down 35cm. Did not cut the crust at the back of the column. On a NE aspect at 2250m, easy hand shear down 60cm on facets (and possibly some preserved SH) above a thin MFcr.

Reasonably fresh natural with just a dusting of snow on the debris. Depth of new storm snow. Failed on Facets/Surface Hoar above a crust. Old ski track in the bed surface. Good size deposit along the trees at the toe of the slope. All measurements are estimated.
