Today a large group of skiers and split boarders went up into boney moraine area of loop brook. The ski quality was excellent. We experience no signs of instabilities on the way up and did 2 laps on the moraines. We dug a quick pit on a NE aspect at 1700m on a moraine on the way up to the alpine. Got hard results CTH(24) SP down 65 on Surface Hoar 5-6mm. The surface hoar was well preserved in the areas described in the forecast. No signs of the surface hoar at the top of the moraines
