Spring pow

Skied up to Saphire col today and back down normal route. Soft ankle deep faceted pow on the glacier all the way up to the col, really nice conditions. We observed slow moving sluffing in the top 20 cm on all steep slopes entraining a fair amount of snow on longer pitches. Variable conditions below the glacier to the mousetrap with isolated small windslabs that were unreactive were we skied, sun crust, and soft breakable wind pressed surfaces that skied OK. Approach route is icy but still decent for time of the year.
