Warm day, even in the alpine. Rain crust from 1900-2250m. Variable snow depth in the alpine. Plenty of sharks hiding just below the surface. Some old wet loose avalanches present. Solid riding in the alpine, heavy snow. Seems well consolidated in the alpine. Pretty low tide in the trees as well. Hard crust in the trees below about 5cm of snow. Connaught Creek skin track is not ideal. Plenty of dirt patches, exposed rocks, and slick sections. Skin track also melted throughout the day.
