Snow above the crust around 2000m is at zero C. The snow could be described as isothermic above the crust. Sleds where post holing down to crust which was bridging the higher temps. With the added rain below 2100m, we are seeing significant amounts of snow down low disappearing. Get high, stsy high. The cornices are weak and would avoid any over head if venturing out. Signs of greenhousing today in areas, but not consistent. Need a freeze. Lots of people bailing from ski traverses...
