We got a powder day at Bijoux. It was snowing in the parking lot and the amount of storm snow increased with elevation. At Treeline, 1500m, we found 30cm. Strong winds were redistributing the new snow and building sensitive, easy to trigger, slabs. We chose to ride in simple terrain away from large slopes. We found good powder riding in sheltered trees.
