Avalanche

Accidental trigger of soft slab avalanche, which broke 20m above the skier and 30m below, and ran about 60m to a bench and a couple of trees. It folded over a 4m high, skinny cedar tree, and left debris about a meter deep.

<p>Accidental skier trigger, skied out. We'd been seeing Q2 shears in hand pits along the ridge. Seems a bit more energetic snowpack than we expected.</p>
