Babine Park - The Onion

Gulley had scattered avalanche debris (10 cm diameter broken trees) embedded in hard snow. Only 10 cm of fresh snow on top, so given recent snowfall, the avalanche probably happened 2 to 3 days ago. Trees in path leaning and stripped of branches. Trees outside of path have much more snow. Puzzled by smooth surface of snow and smooth edges of obviously destructive path. No snow chunks visible. Likely started near ridge. No crown visible (poor light). Date and time are guesses.
