Snowpack

Storm slab sits on a variety of layers depending on aspect and elevation. 1600-1850m a firm temperature crust 190131 is down up to 80cm. The bond on this layer is quite good, as the first snow came in mild and bonded to the wetted or moist surfaces. After that, storm snow in two cycles, getting ever colder. Right side up pack where not exposed to variable mode to strong winds. Afternoon temps dropped to -24C at TL and where wind-affected, near ridge tops and ribs, shooting cracks started to occur. Windslabs stiffening noticeably with cold.
