Spent 4 days (Jan 22-25) in the Cariboo backcountry S off the West of McBride. We skied NW, NE, E and SE slopes at all elevations up to 2200m. AL was hard packed with wind slabs, TL also wind affected with variable wind slabs and ~5-10cm ski pen, BTL nicer more powdery snow and ~10-20cm ski pen (the good stuff!). Windy conditions throughout, about 5-10cms of snow and overall snowpack from 140cms (BTL, TL) to 200cms (at ridgetop). Our temps ranged from -2 to -15 degrees.
