The snow - it has a powdery consistency!

We were hoping for Ursus Bowl for the final day of an AST2 course. However, the Frequent Flyer had not run. The sun was hitting the alpine and had shown some crown fractures in the Grizzly Slide path. There appeared to be moderate to high winds in the alpine. Hand shears required extremely light pressure. We decided not to commit to the Flyer. We skied Teddy Bear Trees and had a blast. We saw no signs of the storm snow naturally sloughing on micro-terrain except where the ridge became nearly vertical. Since we were on a course, we dug a pit at the GPS coordinate of this MIN. A 45-degree slope at 1824m on an east aspect. While clearing a chimney to isolate the test block, the storm snow popped out as a column with minimal pressure. However, no ECT or CT results.
