There were no surprises at Bell today. It was another cold clear day with a thin high cloud and light winds. Surface hoar is growing on top of a now faceted snowpack. Avalanche hazard remains reduced as conditions wait for a change in the weather. In the honey holes without tracks the faceted surface rides like cold powder. We didn’t see any recent avalanche activity, but we are still watching for hard, hollow sounding wind slabs in the alpine along ridges and in open terrain.
