Skied a variety of slopes in the Fraser Lk/notch zone and found a variety of snow conditions. Poking into north aspects looking for sheltered snow, and backed away from steeper,, more committed lines with potential for windslab release, low vis. A great deal of uncertainty in the morning due to wind loading and weather, led us to back off on steeper, more committed features. Later in the day, better snow conditions were found at more sheltered north aspects and we felt comfortable pushing into larger, steeper alpine features - we weren't encountering any reactive windslab in this area. Two test profiles were dug on north facing alpine slopes (1100m and 1400m). No significant results in snowpack tests, and no layers of concern detected.
