The alpine is not a very fun place to be right now -- we experienced strong to extreme wind blowing snow around and flat light in the clouds. By mid morning a few centimetres of snow had accumulated, likely starting to load immediate northeast facing lee terrain features. We kept it mellow in the centre of broad valleys and decided not to continue into the alpine with the poor travel conditions. Hopefully they improve after this weekend's storm!
