We skied flower couloir today as a party of 5. 1 other party of 4 followed our bootpack. It was -22 at the car at 9am, and -2 at 1pm when we returned. The bootpack was made up of variable snow, mostly blown in sluff sitting over the supportive temperature crust. The very top ~30 meters had thin coverage, we exposed a couple rocks and this was right at the elevation where that temperature crust disappears. 1st skier down popped a small slab from the top that ran fast down the whole length of the couloir - there were no issues skiing the remaining line. The rest of it skied well despite variable snow conditions. We observed a previous days point release avalanche debris starting from the steep Rocky wall above Bow Summit with multiple goat tracks going into the slide path. Hot tip: The Lodge at Bow Lake is now open and serves lunch to the public on weekends until 2:45pm.
