Skied to the summit of Taiya SW. The winds from this week have created lots of wind affected snow - anything from a dense slab that is supportable to skis, to heavy wind slab, to breakable crust. Skiing on the dense slab was supportable to a skiers weight and provided not terrible ski quality, but of course there was a lot of variability! No whumpfing or shooting cracks but at higher elevation some of the SW aspect slab had a drum like sound. Winds were moderate - strong from the NE today and at the end of the day there was snow getting transported.
